Wessel + O'Connor Fine Art is pleased to celebrate
20 years in business with a 20th Anniversary Exhibition, featuring
works from some many of the artist's they have shown over the years,
including: Andy Warhol, Paul Cadmus, Horst, Robert Mapplethorpe
              and George Platt Lynes.

Currently located in DUMBO Brooklyn, the gallery has had locations
in the Tribeca, Soho, and Chelsea neighborhoods of New York, all
at pioneering points in their transformations.

The gallery first opened in the fall of 1985 in the heart of Rome,
Italy, focusing on American artworks from the vibrant East Village
art scene, giving the first European solo shows to artist's such
as Mike Bidlo, Craig Coleman, Marcus Leatherdale, Walter Robinson
              and Rhonda Zwillinger.

Since the early 90's, it has had an extensive dedication to the
burgeoning interest in photography, often with an emphasis on the
overlooked. The gallery has had three exhibitions of the work of
George Platt Lynes, and given the first ever gallery shows to 1950's
Physique pioneers Bruce of Los Angeles, Bob Mizer of the Athletic
Model Guild and Lon of New York, the latter two during their lifetimes.
